Professional Focus

Dr. Karpovich is an analytical environmental chemist with interests in basic and applied research. His research includes developing novel applications of analytical techniques and using them to study environmentally important phenomena at the micro- and macroscale. His experience includes traditional and novel applications of atomic spectroscopy (flame and furnace absorption, flame and plasma emission), molecular spectroscopy (UV-Vis, Fluorescence, IR, Raman, and NMR), and mass spectrometry (GC/MS, ICP/MS, HPLC/MS).
