Research focuses on using a mix of basic and applied science to provide guidance for conservation and restoration of native sport fishes. Within this broad theme I have most recently concentrated on (1) using species distribution models to identify habitat features most important to early life stages of native fishes, (2) quantifying the effects of invasive species on population characteristics and life histories of native fishes, and (3) ecology of Great Lakes connecting channels.
