He has also carried out research on the parametric approach to robust control and on socio-economic systems including hydro-electric scheduling and consumption-pollution models. Currently researching questions of controllability and observability for a class of viscoelastic contact problems where the interaction of the system and the boundary make the problems both non-local and non-linear. An example of this problem is that of source location in water pollution problems. The aim here is to identify to magnitude and/or the location of multiple sources of pollution.
